The things you do to make kids eat healthy

I was in the fridge earlier looking for something to eat when I spotted some kids yogurts that we bought last shopping trip. I grabbed one and whipped to lid off. I had a spoonful and it tasted strangely familiar, but I couldn't quite place it. I found the lid and discovered it was Bubblegum flavoured.

You heard it here first, Bubblegum flavoured yogurt.. Is this what it takes to get the young people interested in eating healthy stuff ????

Shrot memory, must have a short memory...

I must be geting old, but I always have great ideas for blog posts (normally in the shower or driving to work), but then forget them when I am trying to do posts.

That's why there are so few posts these days. I need to start carrying a notepad and pen with me..

Mobile phones and driving

Now I have a pet hate (what just the one ??)

I really get the poops when I see people on the phone while driving. I make a point of never using my phone while driving. Knowing my luck i would get busted, or would drop the phone then crash while feeling around for it.

However I have noticed a new phenomenon. Why do people think if they hold the phone 6 inches from their mouth that it is any different than holding it next to their head ?
Maybe they can drop it if the think there are cops around??

It just seems to be something I've noticed a lot more in the last few weeks.

While on the subject, has anyone noticed how many semi or large truck drivers seem to be on a hand held phone. mmm, I am driving a 50 Tonne missile, but I think I'll call my friend for a chat rather than concentrating on driving. Last time I looked trucks had like a zillion gears. How do you change gear, steer and chat at the same time ?????

Bizarre.

Testing and approval or when is an institute an institute ??

I was having a shave this morning when I noticed that the shave gel had a disclaimer that it was 'Skin Compatability Dermatalogically Approved on men with sensitive skin'.

Is that like calling up a dermatologist and asking if PEG-90 Glyceryl Isostearate would work for sensitive skin? "oh yeah, that should work OK.."

I think its a bit distrubing that its not tested its just approved. Maybe its not cool to say 'tested in the eyes of smoking beagles in some German animal farm'.

This reminded me of the things like the Pond institute which just seems to be a fluffy marketing branch of Ponds, but by calling it an Institution it gives it some weight.

I am now going to start my own Institution. Not sure what it will do, but that doesn't seem important. I might call it the Modern Life Institute. If I get a nice flowery logo I might just get away with it. So come on, lets start an Institution !!!
